In the article written by David Foster Wallace, my favorite part is the short story of an atheist got caught away from the camp in a terrible blizzard and get saved. That person thinks it is because a couple Eskimos showed his way back. But his religious friend thinks it was because he had asked God for help. This little story shows us same experience can mean two totally different things to two different people. Which means even two people have the exact same experience, their feeling toward the same thing may still vary. This is also the reason why people have different view or feelings when they look at a same piece of art work.
There is one problem for this, that’s how can we share our feelings? And here is the use of communicating. By communicating, we show our view and share our feelings. People don’t only learn from experience, but also communicating with other. Everyone have limit of time in their daily life, they don’t have enough time to experience everything, by sharing experience with friends, classmates or families, they could learn a lot things even they never experience it before.
